My 7.62x54R Soviet Mosin-Nagant Model 91/30 Bolt-Action Rifle. I got it in Febuary 2009 at an Iowa Gun show for $125.00 This one was made at Izhvesk Arsenal in 1943. Internal non-detachable magazine holds 5 rounds, can be loaded with loose rounds or by charger, or stripper clip. Kick is heavy but surplus ammo is comparatively cheap. If you are portraying Russian soldiers during world war II armed with rifles, showing this rifle is a must!

This is a right hand view of the action or receiver closeup.

Question on a personal basis, is the bolt hard to use? or does it slide smoothy?

it s tougher than say a mauser, lee-enfield, or a commercial hunting rifle like a marlin or remington. My experience is to close it, you have to "slap" the bolt forward and shut with one swift strong motion, or else the bot won't close down all the way.

Maybe it needs to be oiled? or maybe a better bolt as far as I know, Mosin's are supposedly meant to be easy to use with the bolt.
But thanks for answering.

I see. Either you needed the money or wanted a different gun.
