So far probably the most modern pistol in the gun collection in my gallery. Done in Prismacolor colored pencils on drawing paper, outlined with a 6H pencil. Turned out Okay I think. Fixed some minor smudging in Photoshop.
The 9mm Norinco NP34 is a carbon copy of the 9mm SIG Sauer P228 pistol, and is made by North China Industries ( Norinco) in the Peoples' Republic of China. Pictures Ive seen look like the finish is a bit rougher than that of an original Swiss-German SIG but I hear they are reliable and durable nonetheless. As Chinese-made pistols can no longer be imported into the United States, I'll probably never find out first hand. This one has an extended 108mm barrel as opposed to the original 98mm barrel so it could be sold on the Canadian civilian market as a "restricted" weapon instead of as a "prohibited" weapon. The normally 13 round magazine would also be blocked to hold 10 rounds for commercial sale in that country.
